Everyday Maintenance
Just like a car, your JAWA camper should be assessed to make sure that everything is in order. As part of your everyday maintenance, we suggest that you run through this basic camper maintenance checklist.

Can’t wait to get out there? We get it! But before you pull out of the driveway, there are some things you should consider before you get swept up in the adventure.

<h3> Don’t Drive Through Salt Water
While you and your family may love the ocean, your camper trailer does not! Avoid driving through salt water as this will leave a film of salt on your camper trailer or hybrid caravan.
As it bonds to your vehicle, it is the first stage of corrosion. Choose the appropriate cleaner to deactivate, dissolve and remove the salt film, cleaning the body work as well as the undercarriage.
Sterilise Your Water Tank
To prevent bacteria buildup in your water tank, make sure your tank is always full or always empty, even when it’s in storage. If you want to clean your tank, without purchasing cleaning solutions, just combine 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence with water per tank — for the first clean.
After that, you can perform an annual treatment which will prevent bacteria growth.
Check & Charge Your Batteries
Always recharge batteries to their full capacity before setting off on your next trip. Batteries should be maintained to a steady 12 Volt charge. Make sure you turn off switches at the power control panel when your camper trailer or hybrid is not in use.
4 Burner Gas Stove
To use your gas stove simply push down and turn the knob to release. Remember that’s it’s illegal to install or use a gas appliance within an enclosed annexe area, so make sure your space is at least 30% ventilated. Always check for possible gas leaks, and make sure you’ve turned off your gas bottle after every use.
After A Trip
After your trip, it’s important that you maintain your camper trailer or hybrid, so it’s ready to go when you need it next. We suggest that you thoroughly clean your camper, preferably with a high pressure cleaner.
